The Corvette has been around for nearly sixty years, they are “the American Sports car.” The best part is that General Motors has always chosen to improve the breed. Sure they have gone off on tangents from time to time and offered gimmicky options, but overall the cars just get better and better.
Amazingly, the Corvette and all super cars in general have just about reached their apex. This Corvette can go to sixty miles per hour in three and a half seconds. How much faster is even possible or remotely safe for the street? That is just simply amazing.
The great thing about the 2001 Corvette is that is just old enough to have depreciated in price nicely and just new enough to offer world class performance. If you are looking for an “affordable Corvette” this year group may be the one.
